If you’ve only recently started your own accountancy business because you’ve got your online masters of accounting and years of experience working for a top firm, Accountancy small businessit’s important you get your marketing efforts spot on. If you lack marketing knowledge, your competitors are only going to take advantage and land the clients you crave. Unfortunately, not many people are taught about marketing during their masters degree in accounting. If your current marketing efforts aren’t paying off, here are a few of the tasks you should complete on a daily basis to improve them.

1.      Regularly Engage with Your Audience on Social Media

Even a simple response to a comment could play a vital role in building relationships for your accountancy firm. Facebook and the other social media platforms work on audience outreach. This means that if you engage with one user, another user is likely to be reached as well. You don’t have to go viral every time you post a status or a response, you just need to be thoughtful and considerate. Your audience has spent time engaging with you, so why not spend a few minutes of your day sending out a couple of responses?

2.      One Article a Day Keeps Your Competitors Away

Building content for the search engines is a must in this day in age. If you don’t, you’re not going to benefit from all the organic traffic that you could take advantage of if you did. Although many websites only need to be updated once a week or even less, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t add an article to your blog every day to help build a search engine and social media presence quickly.

3.      Update on Social Media at the Right Times

While it’s important to engage with your audience on a daily basis, it’s also important to post new content at the right times. According to reports, the best time to post is around 1-4 pm. Anything after 8 pm doesn’t get the same exposure. Do your research to see the best times to post in your country, and on what days. The more exposure you can get for your content the quicker you’re going to be able to build a bigger and better audience.

4.      Build a Backlink

If you can find a few minutes out of your day, try and build a backlink to your website. Whether you join a forum or guest post on another blog, build a backlink and that’s an extra link that Google and co will add to your reputation. Usually, the more quality backlinks a website has, the better presence they have in the search engines for their targeted keywords.

Marketing can be a very costly process and sometimes, even a complete waste of time for those who don’t get it right. However, by taking advantage of the above tips and implementing them into your daily routine (if that’s at all possible), you’ll be able to better your marketing efforts and, ultimately, stay ahead of the competition.
